What’s Included
USB RFID Device
The single USB RFID Device included with the updated Sumokey Schlage 9691T RFID cloning kit.
Dual-Frequency RFID Fob
Compatible blank RFID fob supporting 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz.
Schlage 9691T is a Dual-Frequency RFID Key Fob
The Schlage 9691T key fob may contain both low-frequency and high-frequency RFID technology. A complete authorized RFID duplication may require both portions to be completed.
Low Frequency
125 kHz RFID portion used by some access readers.
High Frequency
13.56 MHz RFID portion used by compatible access readers.
USB RFID Device Orientation
- The USB-C cable exits from the bottom of the device.
- Button 1 is the top-left button.
- Button 2 is the top-right button.
- Place RFID fobs flat on the device and keep them still during confirmation.
Low-Frequency Portion — 125 kHz
Low-Frequency Confirmation
Use the included USB RFID Device with the original Schlage 9691T credential and the blank Sumokey Dual-Frequency RFID Fob.
1. Place your original fob flat on the cloning device.
2. Press Button 1 to scan the low-frequency part of the fob.
3. Wait for the confirmation beep. The beep means the device successfully read the fob.
4. Remove the original fob.
5. Place the fob you want copied onto the device.
6. Press Button 2 and keep the fob in place until you hear the confirmation beeps. The confirmation beeps mean the copy was written successfully.
High-Frequency Software — 13.56 MHz
Download the PN532 software for your operating system:
- PN532-Cloner-Mac-x64.tar — for Mac computers
- PN532-Cloner-Win-x64.exe — for Windows computers
Mac Setup Notes
Mac downloads may come as a .tar file. Double-click the file to extract it.
Once extracted, locate the unzipped file. Hold Control and click it, then choose Open With → Terminal.
If macOS blocks the app, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.
High-Frequency Software Workflow
- Open the PN532 software.
- Place the original Schlage 9691T fob on the USB RFID Device.
- Type
rand press Enter. - Wait until you see Read Success.
- Remove the original fob and place the blank Sumokey Dual-Frequency RFID Fob on the device.
- Type
wand press Enter. - When you see Write Success, the high-frequency portion is complete.
Do not use the device on a metal surface. Keep your computer awake during the read process, since this step can take several minutes.
Completion Check
Troubleshooting
Device Not Detected
Try a different USB port, confirm the USB-C cable is fully connected, and restart the software.
No Confirmation Beep
Make sure the RFID fob is flat on the device, keep it still, and avoid metal surfaces.
High-Frequency Read Failed
Reposition the original fob, keep the computer awake, and allow the software several minutes to complete.
High-Frequency Write Failed
Confirm you are using the blank Sumokey Dual-Frequency RFID Fob and that it is placed flat on the device.
Low-Frequency Issue
Confirm the device is connected, the RFID fob is flat on the device, and you received confirmation beeps before testing.
Original Credential Not Working
Test the original Schlage 9691T fob first. If the original does not work, the copied fob may not work either.
